Help Can't Wait.

A path back to wholeness for Veterans and their families. The Aya Mission, an IRS-certified 501(c)(3) veteran harm reduction nonprofit, provides peer support, preparation coaching, and integration services for veterans pursuing entheogenic healing.

Our Mission

The Aya Mission supports Veterans on the path to healing and wholeness. Through ceremony, community, and connection, we help Veterans work through the invisible wounds of service — trauma, isolation, and the weight that too often leads to suicide. We walk alongside Veterans as they prepare for this journey, connect them with trusted partners in the Arizona desert, and welcome them into our Peer Support Group, where healing continues long after ceremony ends.

Veterans and volunteers of The Aya Mission gathered together
6,407 veteran suicides were reported in 2022.

Veterans are 5x more likely to experience major depression — and 50% of veterans with PTSD never seek treatment. Veterans deserve access to every effective healing option available. That's why help can't wait.

But Hope Is Real — and Measurable

110 Veterans have completed our program and are improving their lives. At the 3-month follow-up, moderate-or-greater anxiety dropped from 64% to 0% of participants, and moderate-or-greater depression fell from 50% to 22%.

Measured with PHQ-9 and GAD-7 clinical assessments, pre-ceremony vs. 3-month post-ceremony.
