About Entheogenic Healing
Honest education — benefits, risks, and why preparation and integration matter most.
Honest education — benefits, risks, and why preparation and integration matter most.
Entheogens are plant-based substances — like ayahuasca — used for generations in sacred and ceremonial contexts by cultures around the world. In recent years, a growing body of clinical research into psychedelic-assisted approaches has renewed scientific interest in their potential to help people process trauma, depression, anxiety, and addiction when used in supported, intentional settings.
They are not a magic cure, and they are not right for everyone. Certain medical conditions, psychiatric histories, and medications can make participation unsafe — which is why honest screening and education come before anything else.
Education, intention-setting, and readiness — mind, body, and spirit. Veterans in our community consistently say prior therapy made their experience more meaningful.
Sacramental ceremonies are conducted by independent religious organizations with their own enrollment processes. TAM's role is support — before and after.
The ceremony is a beginning, not an ending. Structured integration and peer support are where insights become lasting change in daily life.
We don't ask anyone to take healing on faith. Veterans in our program complete PHQ-9 and GAD-7 clinical assessments before ceremony and at follow-up, and our research arm, MindOps Zenith, runs IRB-governed studies including EEG-based research. See the outcomes so far on our Impact & Research page.
This page is education, not medical advice. Every veteran's situation is different — talk with your healthcare providers, and be fully transparent during our intake process.
