The Aya Mission operates as an IRS-certified 501(c)(3) nonprofit under formal, board-adopted governance: a Code of Ethics, Conflict of Interest policy, Privacy policy, Whistleblower protections, and an Emergency Response Protocol. Every volunteer role — from intake coordinators to integration coaches — works under a written agreement with clear operational boundaries.
Our harm reduction playbook puts honest screening and education before participation — every time, for every veteran.
TAM provides preparation and integration support. Sacramental ceremonies are conducted by independent religious organizations with their own enrollment processes.
PHQ-9 and GAD-7 assessments and IRB-governed research through our research arm, MindOps Zenith, keep our claims tied to evidence.
Healing takes a network. We protect the privacy of the practitioners and organizations we work with, so we don't name them publicly — but here's who stands behind this mission.
Licensed clinical social workers and psychedelic integration therapists who provide judgment-free space for processing insights and cultivating lasting change.
Certified coaches specializing in nervous-system regulation, trauma-informed somatic work, accountability, and personal empowerment.
Churches that conduct sacramental ceremonies under their own legal protections and enrollment processes — entirely separate from TAM's support services.
Peer groups connecting veterans to camaraderie, outdoor service projects, athletics, and practical resources across Arizona and beyond.
Medical staff who support retreat safety, and the IRB-governed researchers of our research arm, MindOps Zenith.
Vetted venues and service providers who meet our safety, privacy, and trauma-informed standards for hosting ceremony weekends.
Referrals to specific practitioners are made privately, one-on-one, as part of each veteran's care.
Veteran organizations, clinicians, and community groups — let's expand what's possible together.
